Models of Neolithisation of Northeastern Iberian Peninsula: New Evidence of Human Occupations During the Sixth Millennium cal BC

Abstract The goal of this article is to discuss the significance archaeological evidence from sites La Draga (Banyoles, Spain) and Coves del Fem (Ulldemolins, Spain), in context neolithisation Northeastern Iberia. 14 C dates have been analysed using Bayesian statistics. stratigraphy covers transition between last hunter–gatherers region first farmers. chronological sequence approximately 1,300 years, 6065–5990 cal BC 4700–4550 BC. site was occupied by farmers circa 5300–5230 when a wooden platform constructed used.
